Doves Guide for Church Bell Ringers is the authoritative source for current information about rings of bells. The Guide first appeared in printed form in 1950. The accompanying website at http://dove.cccbr.org.uk provides full-featured searching, mapping, and details of changes to entries as they occur.
Doves Guide for iOS uses the same 7100+ tower dataset in a portable format, with off-line listing, search and tower details. Mapping is also provided when a network connection is available.
Features: A to Z listing, search by place name, tower details (including: place and location, bells, tenor weight and practice info), search nearby (based on a selected tower, arbitrary map position or the users current location), and a simple download process for updating to the latest dataset.
New in version 3: Record-keeping for storing records of visits, quarter peals and peals. Up 10 towers can be recorded without cost. For a moderate fee, an in-app purchase unlocks unlimited records.
